Primary News – November 2022

News

During the month of November our primary students have been exploring what Veterans’ Day means, who the Wampanoag Indians are, and celebrated the first snow fall during school. This month ended our first trimester and we got a whole week off for Thanksgiving!

The Creator and Explorer Crews learned all about the pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving through their hands-on activities such as play dough turkeys, bracelets, and a restaurant center. The Explorers even went on a snow walk during the first school day snow fall of the year.

Kindergarteners learned about Veterans’ Day. Kindergarteners learned about the five branches of the military, how service men and women work hard to protect our nation and fight for freedom. We had a guest veteran come and share what Veterans’ Day means to him and some of his experiences in the Army.

First grade learned all about narrative stories this month. They put their learning in to practice by writing independently. In math, they learned how to solve and write subtraction sentences. They are rocking sentences of all kinds!

Way to go primary! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break and we will see you for trimester 2.
