High School News – November 2024

News

The first trimester was quite an adventure! Students began the year with a trip to Moose River Outpost (MRO). Students enjoyed spending time together during worship times, campfires, rafting, and swimming.

We celebrated Bubble Day (meeting our cubs), Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ Day, See You At The Pole, our first All-School Chapel, School Picture Day, and so much more.

In chapel, our high schoolers have been working through the book of Galatians. This trimester they worked through the first part of the book.

We also said goodbye to our long-time Spanish teacher, Sra. Rodriguez. We wish her the best on her next adventure. At the same time, we said hello to Mr. Haney, our new humanities teacher! Welcome to our school!

The Dominican Republic Missions Team kickstarted their fundraising with a car wash, bucket splash, and we can’t forget the fan favorite: Pizza Fridays. One more trimester to go before they head out on their trip!

Our soccer team fought hard all season and made it to the championship game! They overcame so many challenges including quickly learning how to play on a turf field. Although our team didn’t walk away the champions, we are so proud of their work on and off the field. They truly grew together as a team this season.

High schoolers ended the trimester decorating for Christmas and enjoying Friendsgiving with the 8th graders. The hallways and classrooms look amazing!

Way to go high school! What a way to end the trimester strong.
