Mount Zion’s faculty and staff is made up of a large group of loving people who make it their privilege to share their lives with their students as they encourage them to walk into the destiny that God has for them.
Robynne PigeonPreschool Creators and Explorers
Mrs. Pigeon studied Early Childhood Education at Castle College and Liberty University. She has been teaching preschool and kindergarten since 1996 in both private child care centers and Christian schools. Mrs. Pigeon lives in Manchester with her husband Jamie and daughter Katie. She attends Calvary Bible Church in Derry, NH. Mrs. Pigeon loves creating a classroom environment that is a fun, creative and hands on place to learn. She keeps her classroom an inviting and engaging place to learn by changing her themes and centers every month. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, crafting and drawing. In the past, the Pigeons volunteered for many years with Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. They helped to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Lisa Duffy, Kindergarten teacher, holds a BA in Psychology, a JD, and an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education. She has taught preschool through high school, been a preschool director, Family Life Director, children's and youth leader, and homeschooled her three children. She loves connecting with children and families and helping them develop their relationship with God.
Andrea Hamlin1st Grade | Assistant Principal, Primary & Elementary
Andrea Hamlin has been teaching at MZCS since 2017, and educating since 2008. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in Special Education. When she’s not teaching, she spends her time with her husband, her two children (MZCS classes of 2028 and 2030.), and their dog. Andrea loves being outdoors, reading, making music, and creating.
Makeliah Vaillancourt1st Grade
Makeliah Vaillancourt is a Mount Zion alumni. She holds an associates degree in Biblical Studies from Life Pacific College. Makeliah is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University. She has been working with children for 10 years in many different roles. Makeliah has a passion for seeing kids learn and follow after God's heart.
Jessica Laughton2nd Grade / Elementary Team Leader
Mrs. Laughton is the 2nd grade teacher at Mount Zion. She also helps to run the after school Lion’s Den program one day per week. I have been at MZCS for 3 years and have loved teaching 2nd grade. I attended Endicott College where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary education with a minor in Communications. I have worked in a variety of Pre-K through grade 5 classrooms over the last 13 years; including 4 years in special education. My husband Rich and I moved here from MA to be a part of the amazing MZCS community and are so happy to be here!
Briana Simoneau3rd Grade
Mrs. Simoneau holds a B.S. in Child Development focusing in preschool through third grade education. She is married to her best friend, Matthew and has one daughter: Adelynn-class of 2036. When she's not at school, she loves watching movies, going to Disney and being outside enjoying time with family and marveling at the God created beauty surrounding her.
Christine Lamy4th Grade
Chris Lamy, 4th grade teacher, holds a BA in Psychology and French and a NH Teaching Certificate. She has been at Mount Zion since 2013 and has four children in each of the high school classes. She loves spending time with her children, going to the movies and attending home group/church activities.
Karla Biel5th Grade
Mrs. Biel holds a bachelor's in Communication Sciences and a Master's in Education for Hearing Impaired which she received from Texas Woman's University. She has been teaching in some variation (from infants through high school) for over 13 years. Mrs. Biel and her amazing husband, Kenneth are the proud parents of 2 sets of twins, Kaden & Kirsten class of 2021 and Abigail & Allison class of 2024. In her free time you will find Mrs. Biel relaxing by the water or playing games with the family. Her passion is to serve the Lord by serving others.
Helen GlasierScience & Technology | MS Team Leader
Helen Glasier, MS team leader, and science and technology teacher. I have a BA in Ed. and a Masters in Integrating the Arts in Curriculum. I have been at Mount Zion since 2015. God has been so good to me as I have walked with him! I have an amazing husband and together we have 2 grown daughters. We are delighted to now have two sons-in-law and are enjoying being grandparents to four grandchildren! When I'm not snuggling my grandchildren I enjoy a new hobby of pastel painting.
Beth Papia, Middle School Humanities teacher, BS in Elementary Education (1-8) with minor in English from Gordon College. She has taught in Christian schools for over 30 years in various positions. She has been married to her love for over 38 years, has a daughter and a son, and 8 grandchildren. She loves to yard sale, spend time at the lake, and to play the piano as she worships her Lord.
Katie Carminito is the Middle School Math teacher. She holds a BA in Mathematics and a BA in Middle School Education. She also has a M.Ed. in Middle School Mathematics. She has been with Mount Zion since 2018. She has three sons who attend the school. Right now her love and focus in on being a mom! She loves to spend time with her family and create new experiences together.
Dorothy RodriguezSpanish Teacher | HS Team Leader
Sra. Rodríguez grew up in Puerto Rico, in a missionary family. Adopting the language and culture as her own, she graduated from Pedro Falú de Orellano High School, and after one year at Greenville College, in Illinois, finished her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Special Education at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. In 1990, she and her husband, along with their infant son, came to New England to attend graduate school. Sra. Rodríguez has a Master of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has taught all grades from infants through adults, in private and public schools, and particularly enjoys sharing her love of the Spanish language. She is active at Trinity Baptist Church in Nashua, and enjoys being part of the Chick Band, a group of ladies from Trinity who lead worship at Christian events. In her free time, Sra. Rodríguez enjoys gardening, hiking, reading and exploring new places. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband, and her four grown children and their families.
Chris Legee teaches high school Humanities for Mount Zion. He holds a B.A. in History with a concentration in Secondary Education and American Studies. He has been with Mount Zion since 2017. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and reading books that help him grow in his content knowledge, professional skills, and connection with God.
Mrs. Newell holds an M.S. in mathematics and an M.A.T. in secondary education. She and her husband, Seth, have three energetic children: Henry, class of 2031; Aaron, class of 2033; and Charlotte, class of 2036. She enjoys running, baking, and sewing, and loves sharing her hobbies with others.
Matt DanielsHS Chaplain | Bible
Matt has a passion for helping teenagers form a lifelong relationship with Jesus while teaching biblical principles that relate to everyday life. Attending Bible college at Evangel University Matt majored in Biblical Studies with a minor in psychology. Shortly after, he began his 15 year career in professional youth ministry and is currently pastoring at Londonderry Christian Church in Londonderry, NH. Matt, his wife Shannon, and daughter Izzy enjoy going for walks, family movie nights, and any activity that allows them to spend time together as a family.
Laura CasoniGuidance Counselor
Laura Casoni received her B.S. in Counseling at Clarks Summit University. She worked in many school systems through the Scranton Counseling Center in Pennsylvania. She is new to Mount Zion as of January 2020. She is here to support our teachers to create a workable classroom environment, advocate for our students and parents, implement tools to help our students succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Although she was born in Pennsylvania, Laura grew up in Connecticut near the ocean. Her husband brought their family of 5 back to his childhood neighborhood in Manchester and currently resides there. When Laura isn't at school, she goes on adventures with her three children and husband. She enjoys kayaking, snowboarding, and baking.
Mrs. Shine has held various positions over the last 20 years working with children from primary grades through college. She has been a paraprofessional in several different school districts working in the special education department, a rehab assistant for children and young adults with traumatic brain injuries, aquatic therapist for children with disabilities, an ESL tutor, and home educator. She is a certified swim instructor and holds dual certification in swim coaching. She and her husband Mr. Shine have three boys class of 2018, 2023, and 2028. She loves spending time outdoors with her family, especially hiking and backpacking and believes that “Community” Is so very important and an integral part of building gospel-centered relationships.
